PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for powder coating which is improved in durability, external appearance, thermal curabilty, impact resistance, adhesive ness, and weatherability by using a silylated vinyl copolymer as the major ingredient. SOLUTION: A silylated copolymer having silyl groups represented by the formula as the main crosslinking groups and having a glass transition point of 40-100 deg.C and a number average mol.wt. of 2,000-20,000 is prepared by copolymerizing 1-30 pts.wt. vinyl monomer having the silyl group of the formula, 5-50 pts.wt. polysiloxane having a carbon-carbon double bond at one molecular end and/or at both molecular ends, and 94-20 pts.wt. other copolymerizable vinyl monomer. In the objective resin composition, the silylated copolymer accounts for at least 20 wt.% of the total crosslinkable copolymers. In the formula, R1 is a 1-10C alkyl, 6-10C aryl or 7-10C aralkyl; X1 is H, a halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy, phenoxy, thioalkoxy, acyloxy, aminoxy, ketoximate, amino, amido or alkenyloxy; and (a) is 0-20.
