PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire feeding device capable of preventing a wire from falling out without extending the length of the device. SOLUTION: A wire gripping means 2 is provided on an exit side of a pinch roll 3, and a stop motion of the pinch roll 3 and a grip motion of a wire gripping means 2 are conducted on the basis of a signal from a detecting device 4 detecting a wire terminal on an entrance side of the pinch roll 3. The wire is gripped by receiving the detected signal of the wire terminal, thereby preventing the wire from falling out from the pinch roll 3. It is acceptable that the wire gripping means 2 is located on the exit side of the pinch roll 3, more concretely, between the exit of the pinch roll 3 and the exist of a guide pipe 1. Preferably, the wire gripping means 2 is disposed between the pinch roll 3 and the guide pipe 1 or disposed in a center part of the guide pipe 1.
