PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the wear and damage of a gap. SOLUTION: A wear resistance member 16 is mounted on the sliding surface of this head 10. The wear resistance member 16 is bi-sected with respect to the sliding direction, and recessed parts 16a wherein gap forming parts 13a are fitted, are formed on each of the wear resistance members 16, 16. Since the wear resistance members also exist in the magnetic card sliding direction of the gap parts 13a, the magnetic card is prevented from directly running into the gap at the time in contact with the magnetic card, and the wear and damage of the gap is effectively prevented and also the mounting man-hour of the wear resistance member 16 is reduced.
