PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly reliably and surely adjust a shielding member at a proper cost by a simple method without needing the various change of a transmitting mechanism by moving an adjusting member in the vertical direction on the center plane of a strip and adjusting the position of the shielding member for the strip. SOLUTION: A cooling medium 3 is shielded with the shielding members 1 provided above the strip 2. The shielding member 1 is guided and moved with guide rails 6 provided parallel to the plane 4 of the strip. The adjusting member 7 provided on the center plane 8 of the strip is vertically moved on the center plane 8 of the strip. By the vertical movement of the adjusting member 7, the shielding member 1 is moved side-to-side along the guide rails 6 through connecting rods 9. The connecting rods 9, shielding members 1 and guide rails 6 are provided symmetrically to the adjusting member 7 and, by making the shielding members 1, 1 approach and separate each other, the strip 1 is shielded from both sides.
