The invention relates to the use of radically polymerisable adhesive systems which contain 1-30 wt. % of a reactive solvent with a pKS value smaller than or equal to the value of acetone. The inventive systems are used for fixing materials onto solid matter containing water. Said materials are only or also cationically polymerisable. The adhesive systems contain at least one component i) that is able to start a radical reaction and a component ii) that contains radically polymerisable monomers which are acidic functional or contain groups that can produce acids. The inventive systems optionally contain conventional additives.
