摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reader capable of improving the light emission efficiency of respective light sources in the case of deflecting respective illumination light components from plural light sources capable of emitting light by mutually different wavelengths and making the light axes of these light components coincide with each other. SOLUTION: A CCD scanner 14 is provided with plural LED chip groups 64R, 64G, 64B for irradiating a light source part with red(R) light, green(G) light and blue(B) light and a dichroic mirror 73 for irradiating a photographing film 22 with respective color light components by deflecting these color light components and making their optical axes coincide with each other. Respective LED chip groups 64R, 64G, 64B are arranged so that the transmission frequency of B light, G light and R light through half mirrors 73A to 73C is successively reduced, so that the transmission factor of B light through the film 22 is low and the light loss of B light due to the dichroic mirror 73 is suppressed and the light emission efficiency of the whole light sources can be improved.
