PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for retaining the freshness of foods [vegetables (including fruits), meats, fishes and shellfishes]. SOLUTION: This apparatus is formed by connecting a secondary output boosted through a high-voltage transformer Tr to rectifier circuits, connecting the negative side of the rectifier circuits to conductors 12 in pads 10 (10A to 10C), connecting the other positive side with the ground and coating the conductors 12 (12a to 12c) formed at an area corresponding to electric potential thereof with insulators 11 in the pads 10 (10A to 10C).
