PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chloroprene latex which is excellent in water resistance and contact properties. SOLUTION: This chloroprene latex contains a vinyl alcohol polymer having 1-15 mol% of the ethylene unit in the molecule as the dispersant and a copolymer of chloroprene and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid as the dispersoid.
