PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video information input device capable of inputting various image information within a wide focal range from just closeness to a distance. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a camera part 10 which fetches external video through a lens 12 by using a CCD image pickup element, etc., a focussing ring 13 which can switch the focal distance of the lens 12 to each mode of a link stick mode for very closeness, a short-distance view mode in which the short-distance view of a near person, etc., is photographed and a long-distance view mode in which a landscape, etc., is photographed, a holding part 20 whose axis is connected integrally with the optical axis of the part 10 at an inclining attitude, a focal stick 30 that can be folded into the part 20 and an interface cable 50, performs fetching/image recognition of a still picture on paper 90 at the operation opportunity of a switch 40 by using the stick 30 in the link stick mode and folds the stick 30, switches the ring 13 and photographs short-distance view/long-distance view in the modes other than the link stick mode.
