PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for removing the rolling mill lubricants, metallic powder, etc., sticking to a metallic strip after cold rolling. SOLUTION: Gas is pressure dissolved in an aqueous alkaline solution and the aqueous alkaline solution is injected to the metallic strip from spray nozzles mounted with electrodes, by which the metallic strip is electrolytically cleaned.
