PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately evaluate the characteristics of a filter in a state that a real environment is reproduced. SOLUTION: This device for evaluating the filter is used by supplying air having a predetermined temperature from an air supply source 3, adjusting the humidity of the air to a desired humidity with a humidity adjusting means 10, introducing the air having the adjusted temperature and humidity into the filter-receiving chamber 24 of a container 23 through the second line 13, supplying compressed air from an air compressor 22 into a microorganism-spraying nozzle 53, spraying microorganisms from a microorganism supply source 40 into a filter-receiving chamber 24, supplying the microorganism-containing air having the adjusted temperature and humidity to a desiccant rotor 27 for be evaluated in the filter-receiving chamber 24, and then introducing the air passed through the desiccant rotor 27 into a microorganism-collecting means 77 through the fourth line 71. The heated air from the air supply source 3 is also supplied to the desiccant rotor 27 through the third line 70 in the opposite direction. The microorganism adsorption characteristics and reproduction characteristics of the desiccant rotor 27 can thus accurately be evaluated in the state that a real environment is reproduced.
