PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seaweed bed-increasing bank which separates an alga- rooting function from a function for holding members having the alga-rooting functions in a state that the functions can easily be handled by man powers, and can effectively form a seaweed bed on the bottom of sea, and to provide a method for effectively handling the seaweed bed-increasing bank. SOLUTION: This seaweed bed-increasing bank A1 comprising growth members 1 for rooting and growing algae and a holder 2 which is lightweight in such an extent as being able to be artificially carried, characterized in that the holder 2 comprises a bone structure portion 21 having a frame structure and a net-like portion 22 extended on the bone structure portion 21 and in that the growth members 1 are held on the holder 2 through attaching means X1 formed between the holder 2 and the growth members 1.
