PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel capable of improving the wound state of a line on a spool to improve the releasability of the line and increasing the oscillation width and the capacity of the reel while keeping the small size of the reel main body. SOLUTION: A protrusion 19 is formed on the circumference of a side face of an idle gear 17 rotating in a state interlocked with the rotation of a handle 49. The protrusion 19 is engaged with an oscillation groove 45 of an oscillation slider attached to the rear end of a spool shaft having a spool 17 at the tip end and the rotation of the handle 49 is converted to the reciprocating motion in the longitudinal direction of the spool 17 by an oscillation mechanism 47. In a spinning reel 63 having the above mechanism, the oscillation groove 45 is composed of an inclined part placed at an intermediate part and inclining in the longitudinal direction of the spool shaft and straight parts extending from both ends of the inclined part in vertical direction nearly perpendicular to the spool shaft. |
