PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for releasing a label of a plastic product capable of surely releasing the label by using an adhesive from the product and releasing the label and the adhesive in a short time without retaining the adhesive at the product side. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for releasing the label of the plastic product to release the label 200 laminated on the product by using the adhesive 250 from the product comprises a mounting base 12 for mounting the product, and a hot air supply unit 14 mounted on the base 12 to blow a hot air to a second surface 42 at an opposite side to a first surface 41 of the product adhered with the label 200 with the adhesive 250 to thereby release the label 200 and the adhesive 250 from the surface 41 side.
