PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting of humidifying capacity, according to a kind and the size of a building and a room. SOLUTION: The humidifier is provided with a humidifying means and a humidification capacity varying means to vary humidification capacity of the humidifying means and is formed, such that humidification capacity of the humidifying means is regulated to the desired capacity of the humidifying means. The humidification capacity means classifies the kind of building and the kind of room into some format modes, in such a way that the kind of building, and the kind of room are caused to correspond to each other, and optimal rated humidification capacity, in relation to the number of tatamis in each format mode (the area) is regulated and set.
