PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information-reproducing device and an information- reproducing method which records and reproduces the information on a recording medium, such as a disk which has clusters comprising data regions and link regions in plural pieces and efficiently utilizes a recording region of the recording medium. SOLUTION: This information reproducing device is provided with a means, which manages addresses recorded on the whole recording medium, such as a disk and a means which records the inputted information on the recording medium. Thus, when the information which is of a large quantity and ranges over a plurality of clusters is recorded, the inputted information is recorded also on the link region on the way, and the recording region of the recording medium of disk, etc., is effectively used. In addition, the link region is disposed near the boundary between the information and the other information, and the respective information can be rewritten freely.
