HEAT-ADHESIVE COPOLYMER POLYESTER BINDER

PURPOSE: A heat-adhesive copolymer polyester binder is provided, which binder shows a softening behavior at 80-180 deg.C without a melting point and is improved in the adhesive strength, and the touch and color after adhesion. CONSTITUTION: The heat-adhesive copolymer polyester binder is obtained by the condensation polymerization of a dicarbonic acid component consisting of 50-80 mol% (calculated by terephthalic acid) of terephthalic acid, its ester-forming derivative or their mixture and 20-50 mol% (calculated by phthalic anhydride) of phthalic anhydride represented by the formula 1(or ortho-phthalic acid) ester-forming ester; a diol component consisting of 75-100 mol% of ethylene glycol and 0-25 mol% of diethylene glycol based on 100 mol% of the dicarbonic acid; and 10-3,000 ppm of a polyfunctional component, wherein m and n are 1 or 2. Preferably the polyfunctional component is selected from the group consisting of poly(carbonic acid), polyol and poly(oxycarbonic acid).
