PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for preventing a battery from being consumed due to an operation by mistake. SOLUTION: The remote controller comprises a button sensor 11 for sensing that an operation button 2 of the controller is depressed, a code data generator 19 for generating code data corresponding to the depressed button 2, a transmitter 21 for transmitting the generated code data, a timer 15 for counting a time in which the button 2 is continuously pressed, and a controller 17 for controlling the transmission of a signal of the remote controller.
