PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the humidifying quantity of a humidifier without largely increasing the cost of the product of the humidifier nor compromising the safety of the product while the compactness and stillness of the product are maintained. SOLUTION: The humidifier is provided with a heater 9 for warm air in the air course 8 between a blower 5 and a vaporizing filter 3, a heater 6 for warm water which heats the water stored in a water tank section 2 near the section 2, and an operating section 12 which sets an operation mode, temperature, etc., on the side face or top face of the main body 1 of the humidifier. The humidifier is also provided with a humidity sensor 14 which detects the temperature in a room and a control section 10 in the main body 1. The control section 10 controls the outputs of the blower 5, heater 6 for warm water, heater 9 for warm air, etc., in accordance with the humidity detected by means of the sensor 14 or the information set by means of the operating section 12.
