PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information exchange system by which a user carrying a mobile phone can automatically acquire desired information provided from other mobile phone. SOLUTION: An information exchange site S provided with an information exchange server Sa and an exchange information database Sb is connected to a mobile communication network connected to a mobile phone 1, the information exchange server Sa has a position detection program to detect a position of the mobile phone 1, a retrieval program to retrieve exchange information data adapted to an area and information kind designated by the mobile phone 1 from the exchange information database Sb, and a transmission program to read the exchange information data retrieved from the exchange information database Sb and transmit it to the mobile phone 1, and the exchange information database Sb classifies the exchange information data sent from the mobile phone 1 connected to the information exchange site S by the area of the distribution destination of the exchange information data and the information type and records the classified data.
