PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater introducing valve device for a side ditch, in which a valve for blocking a malodor and preventing the emergence of mosquitoes, etc., is provided below a sewage cover in a water collecting part of the side ditch of a road, etc. SOLUTION: A hopper 6, which receives rainwater flowing down through a rainwater ort 2a of the sewage cover 2, is provided on the lower side of the sewage cover 2 which is mounted on an upper opening of the water collecting part (sewage basin) 1 of the side ditch of the road R. Ordinarily, a lower end discharge opening 6c of the hopper 6 is closed with a rotary valve body 8a which is urged by a weight 8c, so that the malodor can be blocked and so that the emergence of the mosquitoes can be prevented, while at a rainfall, the valve body 8a is pushed open downward by the rainwater, so as to permit the inflow of the rainwater into a sewer.
