PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake gear suitable for a top-hinged swinging door capable of having the soft braking touch in the case the door is fastened and simply adjusting damping force. SOLUTION: The top-hinged swinging door brake gear is so constituted that a traveling groove section 36 wherein a wheel 11 of a sash hanger pulley 10 travels is fixed to the lower surface of an upper rail 35 for the top-hinged swinging door vertically hung from a top board section 37 by fixing one end 3 of a brake disk 1 curved downward with a screw 2, at the same time, the other end 4 on a door stop side of the brake disk 1 is used as the free end, an adjusting screw 5 abutting the front end 5a on the lower surface of the upper rail 35 is provided to the end 4 on the free end side in a vertically screwable manner and that the upper end of the sash hanger pulley is brought into contact with the lower surface of the brake disk 1 when the top-hinged swinging door 32 is fastened.
