PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaking out type interline rod capable of smoothly performing taking in and out of a rod body. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is provided with a butt rod 1 and an upper butt rod 2 connected in a shaking out manner to the tip side thereof so as to be freely taken in and out. The butt rod 1 has a fitting tapered part 10 having the inner peripheral surface to be a fitting female part from the end on the tip side to the side of the rod butt, a first tapered part 11 increasing the diameter continuous to the side of the rod butt of the fitting tapered part 10 and a second tapered part 12 increasing the diameter continuous to the side of rod butt of the first tapered part 11 to the side of the rod butt and having a smaller taper tilt that of the first tapered part 11.
