PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a catalyst combustion device. SOLUTION: The catalyst combustion device comprises a fuel supply part 1 for supplying fuel, an air supply part 2 for supplying air, a vaporizer 2 with a vaporizer heater 4, a catalyst heating element 6 disposed in the vaporizer 3, a catalyst combustion part 8 with a plurality of through-holes, and an upstream temperature detecting part and a downstream temperature detecting part 11 in the upstream and downstream of the catalyst combustion part 8. The temperature in the upstream and in the downstream of the burning catalyst combustion part 8 detected by the temperature detecting parts 10 and 11 and the measured temperature of the pattern of temperature of the vaporizer are compared with the reference temperature of the pattern when the combustion quantity is uniform, and whether the combustion condition is normal or abnormal is determined based on the comparison.
