PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information collection system and its method capable of providing required information any time quickly when a user needs the information periodically. SOLUTION: Servers 4-11, 12 and 14 of an external network 14 are equivalent to an information providing server. An information collection server 18 exists within a local network 2, receives requests from information acquiring clients 19, 20 and 21 and has functions for storing information of positions of the information resources and acquiring timing, and for transfering the information to an information acquiring client 30.
