PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing a reduction in the accuracy of detecting an object in a vehicle.SOLUTION: Transmission means according to the present invention, which is on the transmission side of a radio wave, transmits a radio wave of predetermined strength. Reception means, which is on the receiving side of a radio wave, receives a transmitted radio wave each time a radio wave is transmitted from the transmission means. Setting means (S130) sets the transmission characteristic of the transmission means to a plurality of different transmission characteristics. Transmission control means (S140) makes the transmission means transmit a radio wave with the set transmission characteristic each time the transmission characteristic is set by the setting means. Detection means (S200) detects, on the basis of a detected reception strength representing the received strength of each of radio waves received by the reception means, that the object exists at a position inside a vehicle where a radio wave transmitted from the transmission means to the reception means is blocked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
