PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insulate heat of a pipe material by a piping cover without using a heat insulating material in the piping cover, and to prevent dew formation on the pipe material. SOLUTION: In an elongated base member 3, holding parts 6 holding the pipe material 2 are formed on both side rims along a longitudinal direction, and a pipe material insertion opening 8 is formed between tip rims of the holding parts 6. A U-shaped cover member 4 with an elongated cross section covers the holding parts 6 of the base member 3, and both side parts engage with both holding parts 6 of the base member 3. In an inner surface of the cover member 4, at least a protruding part 11 is protrudedly provided so as to face the pipe material insertion opening 8 formed between the tip rims of the holding parts 6 of the base member 3. In the protruding part 11, an air layer forming hollow part 12 is penetratively formed in a longitudinal direction of the cover member 4. In the air layer forming hollow part 12, a longitudinal protrusion line 13 is protrudedly provided from an inner surface side part 12a toward an outer surface side part 12b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
