STABILIZING SUPPORT FOR OPENING-WEDGE OSTEOTOMY AND CLOSING-WEDGE OSTEOTOMY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizing support for opening-wedge osteotomy and closing-wedge osteotomy capable of effectively locking and supporting two bone portions formed by an osteotomy rima at an appropriate angle. SOLUTION: The stabilizing support 11 comprises a plate 12 connecting the two bone portions 13 and 13a of a bone 14 by screws 2a. A fixing means 25 of the plate is inserted and fixed in each one of the bone portions in order to lock the bone portions in a specific configuration so as to support an axial load that acts on the bone.
