PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microarray chip capable of accurately and efficiently processing information associated with gene analysis and improving quantitative properties and to provide a method for using the same. SOLUTION: The microarray chip comprises both a first probe region and a second probe region. In the first probe region, a probe having a complementary sequence is fixed to a first tag sequence in which genes to be detected are coded. In the second probe region, a probe having a complementary sequence is fixed to a second tag sequence indicating discrimination codes corresponding to the genes to be detected. In the microarray chip, it is preferable that the first tag sequence and the second tag sequence are both normal orthogonalized sequences. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
