<p>In a microwave oven for mimicking a barbecuing effect, a heater 2 at the top of the cooking chamber 1 heats a grill 3 and a cooling fan 4 is switched on and off so that the temperature at a central region of the grill fluctuates as it would in a barbecue. The method of determining the switching pattern is disclosed. The aim is to impart a realistic barbecued flavour and odour to the food being cooked.</p> |
