PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical fiber from being twisted when moving it. SOLUTION: This optical fiber mover is provided with a moving jig part 2a comprising a 1st arm part 2a with a 1st fixed holding part 5 and a 2nd arm part 2b with a 2nd fixed holding part 6, and a base 1 comprising a 1st positioning part 3 on the fusion position A side and a 2nd positioning part 4 on the reinforcing position B side; the 1st and 2nd holding parts 5, 6 are fixed to the 1st and 2nd arm parts 2a, 2b so as to be placed on the same plane almost perpendicular to the horizontal plane; the 1st positioning part 3 is formed on the base 1 so that the fusion position A is placed on the same plane at the time of being engaged with the engagement parts of the 1st and 2nd arm parts 2a, 2b, and the 2nd positioning part 4 is formed on the base 1 so that the reinforcing position B is placed on the same plane at the time of being engaged with the engagement parts of the 1st and 2nd arm parts 2a, 2b; and thus the same plane can be moved in the state almost vertical to the horizontal plane when shifting the moving jig part 2 from the fusion position A side to the reinforcing position B side.
