<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose of high concentration sewage-sludge having high concentration of salt, and to recover energy as gaseous hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: Sewage or sludge is subjected to electrolysis by using a centrifuge and a pressure tank.
