PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image composition device and method capable of composing an image of a virtual object to an image signal of the actual space at a desired spatial position or angle or the like, and easily setting the spatial position, attitude or the like of the virtual object. SOLUTION: In this method, using a circular marker having two semicircular parts of a first color area and second color area having the center line as a boundary, an image of the actual space including the circular marker is acquired to detect a marker area, and the detected marker area is analyzed, whereby the position and size of the marker, the elevation of an imaging device to the marker, and the azimuth rotating angle and rolling rotating angle of the marker are computed, respectively. A composed image in which the virtual object is virtually arranged in the actual space with the spatial position, dimension and angle instructed by the marker is calculated based on the computing result and the shape data of the virtual object.
