PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus feeding power to a machine which is loaded to a rotating developing device assembly. SOLUTION: The developing device assembly 1, a transmission gear 2, roller driving motor 3, a power transmission path 21, a take in gear 5 and a generator 6 are provided in a color copying machine (image forming apparatus) 100. When the developing device assembly 1 is rotated so that one of the loaded developing devices 8a, 8b, 8c or 8d is rotated to a developing position facing a photoreceptor drum 7, a roller driving gear 12a of the developing device 8a which is in the developing position is engaged with the transmission gear 2. The take in gear 5 is installed to be coaxial to the rotating center of the developing device assembly 1 and is engaged with the transmission gear 2. The generator 6 is provided with a gear 6a which is integrated inside the developing device assembly 1 and is engaged with the take in gear 5.
