摘要 PURPOSE: To maximize UV irradiation efficiency on reactive gas and photocatalyst, by substituting quartz tube for conventional borosilicate tube of photocatalytic reactor as well as locating UV lamp outside of ascending tube, thereby improving photocatalytic decomposition efficiency of trichloroethylene. CONSTITUTION: The reactor comprising an ascending pipe(21) consisting of quartz tube and filled up with photocatalyst, a porous dispersion plate(23) equipped at the lower end part of the ascending tube, a reaction gas injection part(28) equipped at the terminal end of the porous dispersion plate, a cyclone(26) connected to the upper end portion of the ascending pipe, a descending pipe(25) equipped at the lower end part of the cyclone, a loop-seal shaped recirculating equipment connected to the porous dispersion plate and equipped at the end of the descending tube, a reaction gas discharge part(27) equipped at the upper end part of the cyclone and ascending tube and an ultraviolet rays lamp(22) equipped at the outer part of the ascending tube. The method comprises steps of (a) filling up the ascending tube of the reactor with the photocatalyst; (b) putting VOCs gas into the reaction gas injection part; and (c) applying the ultraviolet rays to the ascending tube.
