PURPOSE: A mobile radio for a mobile communication device and an operation method are provided to receive radio broadcast, automatically recognize a change in a radio frequency according to movement and convert into a corresponding frequency. CONSTITUTION: A controller(120) controls an operation of each element of a mobile phone. A memory(130) stores mobile phone bell sound data. A keypad(140) inputs a command. A display unit(150) displays an inputted command and an operation state. A power supply unit(160) supplies power to each element. A position recognizing unit(170) recognizes a current position of the mobile phone. An interface(110) is connected with a connector(210). A microcomputer(220) controls each element of a portable radio. A radio circuit unit(230) receives a radio broadcast signal of a corresponding frequency and converts it into a suitable format. A voice processor(240) converts a signal inputted from the radio circuit unit(230) to a voice signal suitable for output. A memory(250) stores a program and information on a radio broadcast frequency of each area. An earphone connector(260) transmits a voice signal to an earphone.
