<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for treating photographic wastewater whereby BOD and COD can be effectively reduced even when the amount of diluting water is reduced in biotreating the photographic wastewater and to propose a method whereby photographic wastewater can be treated in a photofinishing laboratory by applying the above method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating photographic wastewater comprises subjecting the wastewater to a physicochemical oxidation treatment after it is adjusted to a COD/ammoniacal nitrogen ratio of 3 or smaller and further subjecting the resultant wastewater to a biotreatment. This method becomes a more effective means by setting a dilution ratio at 4 or lower and setting a sulfur content at 5% or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
