Monoclonal, chimeric, humanized or human immunoglobulin G3 (IgG3) antibodies (Ab) produced in a rat myeloma cell line are new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for producing Ab; (2) rat myeloma cell lines (A) transfected with at least one vector that provides expression of functional IgG3; and (3) cells derived from (A). ACTIVITY : Virucide; Antibacterial; Cytostatic. No details of tests for these activities are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Induction of cytokine release from effector cells and potentiation of phagocytosis.
