PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a deviation in the degree of parallelization of a plurality of rollers that drive a fixing belt inside a fixing unit when the fixing unit is oscillated.SOLUTION: An aspect of the present invention comprises: a fixing unit that accommodates a pressure member that is rotatably provided and a fixing belt that is laid over a plurality of rotating members and is in pressure contact with the pressure member to form a fixing nip part; an oscillation mechanism that oscillates the fixing unit in a belt width direction perpendicular to a paper feed direction; a plurality of support parts that support the fixing unit; an auxiliary support part that is provided on a lower side of the fixing unit and moves in a direction perpendicular to the bottom face of the fixing unit to be in contact or separate with/from the bottom face of the fixing unit; and a control part that controls the position in a height direction of the auxiliary support part on the basis of information on displacement of the fixing unit in the belt width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
