<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED drive device and its method, in which the consumption current can be reduced effectively, while absorbing the variations in the characteristics of respective LEDs. <P>SOLUTION: Drive voltages of respective color LEDs are stored in applying voltage storage registers 11, 12 and 13 and each color LED is driven by an independent drive voltage, thereby reduces consumption current. Data in the applying voltage storage registers 11, 12 and 13 can be rewritten via a storage value setting bus 14; and when the minimum light-emitting voltage varies due to individual difference of an LED being actually mounted, voltages stored in the applying voltage storage registers 11, 12 and 13 can be altered appropriately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
