An electroluminescent module comprises: (A) an electroluminescent unit (102) with a semiconductor that creates the light source; (B) luminescent nanoparticles (602) of diameters half the wavelength of the output light and that emit the fluorescent light corresponding to the light created by (102); (C) a binder (604) that maintains (602) in a layer covering the electroluminescent surface of (102). An electroluminescent module comprises: (A) an electroluminescent unit (102) with a semiconductor that creates the light source; (B) several luminescent nanoparticles (602) having diameters less than the half wavelength of the output light and that emit the fluorescent light that corresponds to the light created by the semiconductor electroluminescent unit; (C) a binder (604) that maintains the luminescent nanoparticles in the form of a layer that covers an electroluminescent surface of the electroluminescent unit. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle lighting unit incorporating this electroluminescent module.
