The assembly (10) has a base (12) supported on a rest surface. Flaps (14, 16, 18) are articulated on the base between a folded position in which the flaps cover the base and a deployed position. Housings (42, 44) are arranged in the one of the flaps for containing a product e.g. mascara. Magnets (41) maintain the flaps in the folded position. The assembly defines distinct extension axes in the deployed and folded positions, respectively, where the axes intersect with respect to each other.
