PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-medium system capable of refunding an IC card by using a multi-medium terminal and a cache register with electronic money settlement function, the multi-medium terminal, the cache register with electronic money settlement function and a server.SOLUTION: In the multi-medium system where a multi-medium terminal installed in a store such as a convenience store and a cash register with electronic money settlement function are connected via a communication line, the multi-medium terminal reads an IC card presented when a refund request is made for an IC card, and issues a refund description in which a bar-code is printed when the result of an ID authentication performed by a server is affirmative. The issued refund description is read by a bar-code reader connected to the cash register. When the result of the ID authentication of the IC card is affirmative, refund processing of the IC card is performed, the IC card is invalidated by writing a deactivation encode into the IC card, and the refund information is transmitted to the server for registration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
