PURPOSE:To obtain a composite with a good temperature characteristic available for high frequency by adding a specified amount of one or more of Ce, Pr, Sm, Eu and Gd oxides and MnO2 to the main component, PbO and TiO2. CONSTITUTION:The composite contains 39.9 to 49.3 mol % of PbO, 48.7 to 54.6 mol % of TiO2, 0.5 to 4.8 mol % of one or more of Ce, Pr, Sm, Eu and Gd oxides and 0.2 to 1.5 mol % of MnO2 and 0.3 to 4.0 mol % of In2O3. The composite is calcined at 850 deg.C for two hours, fired at 1200 to 1260 deg.C for five hours, and is polarized. By this way, a piezo-electric porcelain with a low dielectric constant and a good characteristic for a surface elastic wave element can be obtained. |
