<p>A method for de-salting sea water comprises the coupling of a multistage distillation plant to a cold production machine powered by a combustion engine. The heat released for the production of cold as well as the heat released by the combustion engine provide the thermal energy required for the vaporisation. The cold produced is used in a cold de-salting plant to separate water from the salt solution, before it is used for cooling and air-conditioning. </p> |
