APPARATUS FOR HOMOGENIZATION OF DRILLING MUD

A device for dispersing and homogenizing the drilling mud comprising a casing (1) with an inlet and outlet for the drilling mud, a stator (8) and a rotor (5) both placed in the casing and provided with coaxially oriented and intermittent cylindrical projections (9, 6) with a plurality of radially oriented slots (10, 7) intended for letting the drilling mud pass from the inlet to the outlet, and a blade wheel (11) mounted coaxially to the rotor on the drive shaft of the latter. The walls of the slots (10, 7) of the cylindrical projections (6, 9) of the stator (8) and the rotor (5) are of a curvilinear shape. The proposed device can be preferably used in the oil-mining industry for preparation of drilling muds.
