Pharmaceutical compsns. contg. 6-benzoyl-3-hydrazino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrido 4,3-c pyridazine (endralazine, I), a salidiuretic agent (II), e.g. hydrochlortriazide dopamide or metolazone and 4-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropyl amino propoxy)indole(pindolol, III) are new. The compsns. are preferably formulated as solids (granules, tablets, capsules, etc.) with conventional excipients such as lactose, polyvinyl, pyrrolidone, colloidal silica, talc, calcium sulphate, corn starch and magnesium stearate. (I) is pref. present in a delayed release form, e.g. in a wax matrix. (I), (II) and (III) may be present as the free bases or as their salts. The wt. ratio (I): (II); (III) is within the range 1:30:2 to 1:0.01:0.05 and the unit dosage of (I) is 5,10, or 20 mg. The compsns. are well tolerated in their use as antihypertensives and have no significant sec. effects. |
