<p>A heavy metal complex of an azo compound of the formula (1) or a heavy metal complex thereof, in which A is a carboxy- or sulpho-phenyl radical or a carboxy-or sulpho-naphthyl radical, in which the phenyl or naphthyl ring may contain as further substituents chlorine, bromine, nitro, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy and acylamino, p is 1 or 2, R1 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy or acylamino, R2 is hydrogen or alkyl and one of the radicals R1 and SO2-NR2-A is bonded to the benzene ring in the 4-position and the other is bonded to the benzene ring in the 5position or 6-position, and, in a heavy metal complex, 1 or 2 molecules of the azo compound of the formula (1) are bonded to one atom or copper, nickel, chromium or cobalt.</p> |
