<p>An improved venipuncture device (10) comprises a catheter having a catheter hub (14) at one end, with a needle having a needle hub (20) at one end and a sharpened tip (24) at the second end (26) extending through the catheter (10) and catheter hub (14). The needle (18) is adapted for insertion and removal from the catheter (10). A fin (30) extends substantially vertically from the needle hub (20) and is constructed and arranged for gripping the device (10) in a manner which facili- tatesvenipuncture.</p> |
