PURPOSE:To obtain the sensor-type drain trap with little false operation and heat release by providing inside a tank a sensor for detecting drain produced from compressed air or steam. CONSTITUTION:The sensor 7 for opening a discharge valve 1 into the tank 3 to make the discharge of drain start, the sensor 6 giving a signal to close the discharge valve 1 and the sensor 9 sending a signal to inform excessive gathering of the drain to an alarm device are provided. When the drain gathers through an inlet 4 in the tank 3 up to the sensor 7, the discharge valve 1 opens and thereby the discharge of the drain starts, and when the drain decreases below the level of the sensor 6, the discharge valve is closed. When the drain gathers so much as to touch the sensor 9, the signal is sent to the alarm device and thereby an alarm is issued. Since thr discharge of the drain is performed with a little drain being left in this way, the quantity of released steam or compressed air is reduced, whereby such waste as extra energy being released can be saved. |
